HCMC holds meeting in response to Vietnam’s Law Day 2017

Ho Chi Minh City authorities  yesterday held a meeting in response to Vietnam’s Law Day 2017  at the youth Cultural House on the occasion of the Law Festival 2017 organized by the Ministry of Justice and the city People’s Committee.

The meeting is one of the activities to mark the fifth Law Day (2013 – 2017) in order to honor the country’s Constitution and raise people’s awareness of law.
Over 1,500 state-run company employees, youth communist members, and students in HCMC-based universities attending the meeting to take part in a contest to understand more about regulations and receive regulation-related leaflets issued by Lawyer Association and the State Law Assistance Center.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Phan Chi Hieu said that the meeting and the festival are the highlights as HCMC always makes efforts to undertake activities including law contests or hypothetical trials in response to the Law Day.
In the framework of the meeting, a photo exhibition was also held to feature law activities in the city during five past years (2013 – 2017) including some winning works in a contest to provide law information to people organized by the Department of Justice and the Youth Communist Union.
