Local authorities will create the best conditions for investors including French companies to attend in socioeconomic development, he said at the opening ceremony of Vietnamese-French Businesses Seminar 2016.

The seminar attracting 100 French and 250 Vietnamese businesses is a chance for the two sides to build cooperation plans, he said.

According to statistics from the General Customs Department, Vietnam-France trade relations have been developing in recent years.

Vietnam’s export turnover to France hit US$2.4 billion in 2014, up 9.1 percent compared to 2013.

Major export items comprise phone components, footwear, garments, seafood, coffee, wood and wooden products.
