HCMC gives & awards posthunously title of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers to 288 mothers

The Vietnamese Heroic Mother is a title awarded or posthumously awarded to mothers who have made numerous contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, national construction and defense, and the performance of international obligations, according to the portal of the Ministry of Justice. Of 288 mothers were given the title this time, among them, only 26 are alive and able to receive the title at the ceremony.

At a meeting, the City Party Committee Secretary Le Thanh Hai delivered speech to express the deep gratitude to Vietnamese heroic mothers and their families.

Mr. Hai reminded Uncle Ho’s words that Vietnamese people must be grateful to mothers in the North and the South Vietnam who have raised and fed brave soldiers who have served the cause of the nation’s revolution.

Mr. Hai stressed that Vietnamese people are always honoring and grateful for their sacrifice as it is the nation’s moral philosophy and the government manifested the gratitude by giving awards to mothers.

At the meetings held in districts Binh Tan ( for mothers in districts 6, 8, Binh Tan, Tan Binh,  Tan Phu and Binh Chanh), 6 alive mothers received the title and 79 mothers were posthumously bestowed the title. Mr. Le Hoang Quan, chairman of the municipal People’s Committee said that the award ceremony to mothers is one of manifestation of the government in expressing its gratitude to heroic mothers’ huge sacrifice and service in the cause of the country’s revolution.

At a meeting in district Cu Chi, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary Party Committee in Ho Chi Minh City granted the title to mothers and relatives of dead mothers.
