HCMC boosts cooperation with Romania

Vice Chairman of the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Duc Hai yesterday hosted a reception for a delegation of the Romania-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group led by its Chairman Simion Lucian-Eduard during its visit to the city.

Mr. Pham Duc Hai hoped that Rumania will cooperate with the city to solve problems, such as climate change, sea level rise.
He affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh City’s government always wants to consolidate and develop the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Bucharest, capital city of Romania and enhance cooperation activities in various fields, including education, trade and investment.
The city is willing to be a bridge between Romanian businesses and the Southeast Asian large potential market, he added.
On behalf of the delegation, Chairman Simion Lucian-Eduard said Romania is ready to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City to develop projects funded by the European Union (EU) in anti- climate change policies, urban planning and sustainable development, ensuring environmental sustainability in development of the Mekong Delta region.
