HCMC bestows “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” title to 44 women

44 mothers were awarded the title of Vietnamese heroic mother in Ho Chi Minh City in celebration of the 71st anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) on July 25.

43 out of 44 awarded mothers on this occasion were dead. Only Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cam from Go Vap district, born in 1930 is alive.
Attending in the award ceremony, Vice Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Vo Thi Dung expressed deep gratitude to the heroic mothers for their great contribution and sacrifice towards the cause of national liberation and reconstruction, and wished them good health and a long life, and asked the local authorities to take care of the mothers who are alive.
As many as 5,333 women have been awarded and posthumously bestowed with the Vietnamese Heroic Mother title in Ho Chi Minh City.
The award ceremony was organized by the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s chapter in the city.
