HCM City, RoK’s Gyeonggi set up partnership

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh city and the Gyeonggi provincial government of South Korea on April 19 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on establishing friendly relations and cooperation between the two sides on the occasion of the ongoing working visit by Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Kim Jin-heung to the Vietnam's southern hub.

Accordingly, the two localities will strengthen mutual understanding and promote cooperation through the dialogue mechanism during high-ranking leaders’ visits.
The authorities of HCMC and Gyeonggi will create favorable conditions and business environment for private and State enterprises of the two sides, as well as enhance cooperation in various fields, such as science-technology, culture-art, tourism, education, environment protection and exchange.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem highly appreciated Gyeonggi’s initiatives in building and enhancing cooperation with HCM City.
He hoped the two localities will continue to promote exchange in the key fields.
