Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan highly appreciated Singapore's chairmanship of ASEAN 2018 and expressed his joy at the new development of Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership.
He said that this year has seen many activities marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Vietnam, boosting the relationship between the two countries, particularly Singapore and HCM City.
The Party chief of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that the municipal government always wish to receive the support of countries, including Singapore in building smart city, especially in the fields of human resources training and education which are regarded as Singapore’s strong points.
He hoped the city and Singapore will sign a cooperation agreement early to strengthen cooperation relation between the two sides , heading to results in concrete.
Ms. Catherine Wong thanked HCMC’s leaders for supporting Singapore to become the largest investor in the city. Singaporean businesses highly appreciated investment environment in HCMC and are ready for cooperation in building smart city.
