‘Three good’ students are studious, helpful and moral.

Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Nguyen Van Dua, together with more than 800 students and pupils, representing 350,000 city students and pupils, participated in the meeting.

Most of students and pupils reviewed the events of war and brought back the memories of the fierce war years and struggle for independence and freedom.

Thousands of Saigon students and pupils demonstrated against authorities 59 years ago. Many students and pupils were injured and many of them laid down their life for their fatherland.

That year went down in the history of Saigon- Gia Dinh, the Ho Chi Minh City student and pupil movement.

Nowadays, HCM City students and pupils are building a self-motivated and modern City.

Promoting the tradition of the predecessors, city students and pupils have positively learnt, practiced and researched science.

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Nguyen Van Dua, mentioned some students who died, Tran Van On, Quach Thi Trang and Nguyen Thai Binh. He spoke of many others who showed their patriotism to the city’s students and pupils.

Revolutionary action plans, cultural, art and sports activities, and homebound journeys have been well conducted. Humanitarian actions, such as blood donation, assisting disadvantaged and volunteering have received a great response from students and pupils.

Mr Dua also hoped ‘Three good’ student movement next year will be bigger and become the ‘four good’ student movement: studious, helpful, moral and healthy.
