After the launching ceremony, participants joined activities, including inaugurrating newly-repaired concrete alleys in communes of An Phu Tay, Tan Quy and Da Phuoc; providing environmental protection knowledge and offering notebooks and bicyles to disadvantged students in Tan Quy primary school.
The campaign this year will also focus on charity activities in My Thanh Dong and My Thanh Tay communes in Duc Hue district and Tan Phu commune in Duc Hoa district in Long An province.
Accordingly, volunteers will participate in programs developing skills and knowledge for preventing child abuse in infants; propaganda and awareness raising on environmental protection; present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; provide free health exams and treatments.
The annual campaign serves an environment for young people to demonstrate skills and devotion, play their role in voluntary activities for the benefit of the community and to create a spill-out effect among the people in general.
