HCM City, Japan Kansai region seek cooperation opportunities

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday received a delegation of Kansai region’s businesses led by Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren) Shosuke Mori.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday received a delegation of Kansai region’s businesses led by Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren) Shosuke Mori.

At the reception, the chairman belived that Ho Chi Minh City, the nation's leading economic hub, will attract more Japanese investors.

He said that the municipal authorities highly appreciated foreign investors’ contribution to the development of the city, including Kankeiren member businesses, adding that the city will create advantages for enterprises and support their long-term business in the city.

He called on Kansai region’s companies to invest in waste treatment technology, urban flooding prevention and high-technology manufacturing.

Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren) Shosuke Mori, for his part, said the visit aimed to widen economic exchange and seek cooperation between the two sides.
