The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which was officially launched on December 31, 2015 is also a new beginning, marking a symbolic event in the ASEAN history, he added.
The chairman stressed that the ASEAN flag raising ceremony presents awareness of the building of the ASEAN Economic Community and contribution to its development. The event also reflects Ho Chi Minh City’s commitment in strengthening relationship and development cooperation with member countries.
