Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan granted certificates to officially recognize ten more products from eight businesses as the city's key industrial products on May 16.
The key products include milk products of the Viet Nam Diary Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), Kinh Do cookies and cracker, instant rice-based food produced by the Viet Nam Food Industries Company (Vifon), industrial jewelry products made by the Saigon Jewelry Company, brocade & embroidered silk of the Thai Tuan Textile Co., transformer made by the Thu Duc Electro - Mechanical Co, ballpoint pen made by the Thien Long Pen Co., fluorescent and incandescent lamps made by the Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Co.
The products were selected based on the companies’ efforts in 2005 to expand their production, improve technologies and machines, apply advanced management models as well as register their trademarks.
These businesses also achieved a high turnover growth rate of 25-50% and an average profit of 14.7% annually.
