German Science Day in HCMC

To mark 20 years of science and technology cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, a German Science Day was jointly organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on March 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, MoST Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh said that the event is an opportunity for Vietnamese scientists to access to updated information on science, and develop cooperation with German partner.

Accordingly, both sides will build up cooperation projects which help raising the research capacity as well as development of Vietnam.

German Consul General Andreas Siegel said that the bilateral cooperation could provide both sides with solutions to cope with future challenges such as water resource management, sustainable development, and climate change.
