Final section of Nhi Thien Duong Bridge 1 completed

Installation of the final pieces of the Nhi Thien Duong Bridge 1 in Ho Chi Minh City was completed on Tuesday.

The bridge upgrade project was kicked off in January at a cost of VND163.3 billion (US$7.1 million) and carried out by the Area Urban Traffic Management No 4 under the HCMC Depratment of Transport.
The bridge is expected to open to the public in the middle of October.
Nhi Thien Duong Bridge 1 was built in 1925 and is one of the oldest bridges in HCM City. The bridge, crossing over Kenh Doi in district 8, is located on Tung Thien Vuong Street, connecting Cho Lon area and Mekong Delta provinces through National Road No 50.
