Workers went to repair the sinkhole yesterday.

The sinkhole is believed to have been caused by a deluge on April 1.

A prolonged and heavy rain swept through Ho Chi Minh City in the middle of the dry season, resulting in severe flooding in many locations including Le Van Viet- La Xuan Oai streets.

A bus travelling on the road nearly fell into the hole yet luckily the driver stepped the brake at the last minute.

The width of the hole is measured nearly 4 m and the depth is nearly 2 m which caused difficulties for local people.
