City’s budget to collect VND 1, 230 per day in 2018

The Ho Chi Minh City Finance Sector yesterday held a conference about result and expenditure of state budget revenue in 2017.

Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan attended in the conference. 

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Finance Department Ms. Phan Thi Thang said that this year's state budget collection was assigned by the Prime Minister and the Finance Ministry to Ho Chi Minh City is estimated around VND 347, 882 billion. Of the number, the domestic revenue is VND 226,482 billion; income from import-export activities is VND 109,000 billion; and revenue of crude oil gains VND 12,400 billion.

By December 31, total state budget collection of the city is expected to reach up to VND 345,287 billion equal to 103 percent of all state budget (VND 347, 882 billion).

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said that the central budget collection assigned to Ho Chi Minh City was more than VND 376,000 billion so Ho Chi Minh City estimates to collect budget on average of VND 1,203 billion everyday (except for Sunday).

At the conference, the HCMC People’s Committee Chairman certificated for 35 enterprises and 24 city’s districts with their great achievements in State budget remittance this year.
