City leaders visit senior citizen on Inter' Day of Older Persons

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons (on October 1), a delegation from Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee’s Department of Propaganda and Training led by Than Thi Thu, head of the Department visited and gifted senior citizens in the city on September 30.

The delegates visited Mrs. Lam Thi Nang, in 174/3 Le Quoc Hung Street in ward 12 and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thiet in B111/7 bis Xom Chieu in ward 16 in District 4. 

The 100 year old Lam Thi Nang has seven children including two sons and five daughters. Thanks to healthy lifestyle and her children’s love and good care, she leads a happy life.

Mrs. Than Thi Thu hoped that Mrs Nang will be a good model for children to follow.

The delegation also visited Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thiet, 102 years old. She has six children. Mrs. Thu gave regards to Thiet’s health condition and daily activities, expressing that the family and local government will take care of  Mrs. Thiet.

On the same day, on behalf of the city leaders, Nguyen Thi Hong, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People's Committee visited and wished Mrs. Do Thi Xuyen, 101 years old in Da Kao Ward and Nguyen Thi  Tu, 103 years old,  in Pham Ngu Lao Ward both in District 1 good health and long life.

Elsewhere in the city, a mission group led by Le Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee, sent his regards to Mrs. Vu Thi Don, 115 years old in ward 6 and Le Thi Xuan, 101 years old in ward 8 both in Tan Binh District and wished them good health and long life.
