City leader receives Chinese ambassador to Vietnam

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo yesterday visited and paid a courtesy greeting to Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan before he begins the working term in Vietnam.

At the meeting with new appointed ambassador, the city Party chief shared methods of strategy development of Ho Chi Minh City in the upcoming time; and he stressed that the city desired to receive sharing experience from developed urbans in the world including sharing experiences about resident and water resource management, housing project development for residents, encouraging and developing innovative startup companies to promote high-tech economic development, ensure high productivity for city employees.
Additionally, Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan believed that the Chinese ambassador would not only have a successful working term in Vietnam but also affirm his important role in linking, strengthening economic cooperation activities between the two sides, and contributing development of exchange programs between Vietnamese and Chinese people, students who had ever learnt in Vietnam and China.
Chinese Ambassador Xiong Bo said that the friendship and cooperation relations between the two nations has been building and developing by senior leaders and people of the two countries.
China and Ho Chi Minh City have great cooperation potentialities in the fields of technology and high quality economy development. With the advantages, Ho Chi Minh City will have many opportunities to become a hub for applying high and smart technology into production, said he.
Ambassador Xiong Bo affirmed that both the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City pledged to remind and closely monitor Chinese investors in the field of environmental protection; and desired to cooperate with the city in holding exchange programs between students learning in the two countries in order to further promote the role of friendship ambassadors and strengthen bilateral relations.
