A meeting celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory with the participation of nearly 500 war veterans who had taken part in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign was held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 4.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan expressed his deep gratitude for Dien Bien soldiers.
He hoped war veterans will continue to promote the good traditions of Uncle Ho's soldiers and setting an example for the younger generation to follow.
The chairman also offered VND 20 million to the Liaison Committee of former Dien Bien Phu soldiers in Ho Chi Minh City.
