Thousands of colorful lights, flowers and music line the streets as people embrace the New Year holiday festivities. Entertainment venues across the city are booked with music and performances.  Local and foreign people participate in the excitement pervading the city during the New Year holidays.

People are flocking to flower shops along Thanh Thai Street in District 10, Phong Ong Do on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street in District 1, and fairs of La Dong (Dong Leaves) to wrap Banh Tet (New Year sticky rice cake) on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street in Tan Binh District.
