Champasak wants to learn from experience of agricultural development in HCMC

A delegation from Champasak province, Laos, led by secretary of  Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and province Governor Mr. Bounthong Divixay visited and learned from experience of agricultural development at the Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center and High-tech Agriculture Zone yesterday.

Former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan and former Deputy Standing Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Dua also attended in the event.
 
Director of the center Duong Hoa Xo reported that most of its science topics, research programs and biotechnology applications have brought active results in agricultural industry.
 
In parallel, the center also applied scientific researches in creating best products for agricultural sector.
 
With propitious natural condition for agricultural development of Champasak province, Mr. Duong Hoa Xo proposed the biotechnology center could collaborate with the province  in human resources for agriculture, technology transfer, genetic exchange and others.
 
On the same day, the delegate visited the HCMC high- tech agricultural zone, learned about planting skills and models for orchids, cantaloupe and mushroom.
 
Mr. Bounthong Divixay shared that his delegation paid attentions to high-tech agriculture sector, so they wanted to learn more from experience via this visit.
 
On this occasion, the delegation laid wreath of flowers and burnt incense at Ben Duoc Temple, Saigon- Cho Lon- Gia Dinh Revolutionary Tradition Monument and Cu Chi Tunnels to commemorate great contributions of heroic martyrs for national liberation
