Building traffic and socio-economic forecasting center in HCMC

The meeting discussed the cooperation on developing a simulation center to forecast socio-economic strategy, traffic and management control in HCMC. Intel Vietnam and ASU have been nominated as supporting partners of the project.
HCMC Party Leader Nguyen Thien Nhan congratulated Intel Vietnam for its successes in the country and HCMC over the past years. He affirmed that the municipal government will continue to support the company to become a symbol of the cooperation between Vietnam and the US.
For her part, Ms. Lee Soo Hooi said that Intel Vietnam add more employees in 2017, accounting for 40 percent of the total workforce and raising the total number of workers of 2,000 people working there. She expressed hope for further cooperation between the company and HCMC.
At the meeting, Prof. Jeffrey Goss also offered an introduction to cooperation planning on the simulation center to forecast socio-economic strategy, traffic and management control.
Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan asked relevant departments and units to coordinate with ASU to carry out the project.
