The three-day festival takes the form of a tourism trade fair and is aimed at introducing the most prestigious tourism companies and their products and services to the general public. Entitled “Southern Land Meeting”, the event is focused on two main activities, the Tourism Trade Fair and Southern Vietnamese Cuisine Festival.

The event is made up of 122 pavilions of 62 tourism and travel enterprises from 13 southern cities and provinces who will offer their products through exhibitions including consultative activities related to summer 2008’s products and services.

The Southern Cuisine Fair will introduce visitors to delicious Vietnamese dishes including traditional Southern dishes prepared by Viet Nam’s high-end hotels.

Other activities include a Southern folk music show; a lecturing contest named “Traveling Viet Nam,”; a game show called “HCMC: The Spotlight of Asia,”; and a photo contest titled “HCMC – the Hidden Charm”.

This is the fourth time the event has been organized.
