Vietnamese Health Minister calls for help for two kids

As per the guideline of Vietnamese Health Minister, the Ministry March 13 sent a document to director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, asking to assist a child of a soldier who used to station in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

Vietnamese Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien learned the case through her personal Facebook. The child is daughter of senior lieutenant Phan Van Hoang, who used to undertake mission in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago. Soldier Hoang has to sell his own house for his daughter's monthly blood transfusion.

Also through her personal Facebook, Health Minister Kim Tien was informed the case of child named Vang Van Pao, who is Nung ethnic minority in Ca Co village of the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai's Muong Khuong District. Vang Van Pao is being treated in Vertebrae Surgery Ward of Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi.

The boy was transferred from Lao Cai General Hospital to Viet-Duc Hospital in condition of serious vertebrae and chest injury due to falling from high place. Doctors decided to carry out an operation to save his life.

Boy Pao's family is so poor therefore Health Minister Tien called for the assistance of related agencies during his treatment procedure.

Since last February, Vietnamese Ministry of Health has announced the official Facebook page of Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien at https://www.facebook.com/botruongboyte.vn. The Facebook is used as a channel to provide information and receive questions regarding healthcare from the public.
