Provincial doctors save traffic victim whose heartbeat stops

Surgeons of the General Hospital of the central province of Quang Tri saved a man who is a traffic vicitm when his heartbeat stopped and the spleen was ruptured.

Moreover, his pancreas was separated from the abdominal wall and the liver also ruptured causing bleeding a lot inside.
Medical workers said the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He did not have personal document and without relative.
Team of the Emergency Department was quick to conduct tests, scan and X-ray to detect his injuries inside. Through the scan's result, medical workers discovered ruptured spleen and liver.
Dr. Truong Vinh Quy, deputy chief of the Surgery Department, and his colleagues performed an operation to remove a part of the ruptured spleen and repair the rupture in his spleen and liver with stitches. They gave him blood transfusion also.
One day later, the man recovered in intensive care unit.
