More young cancer patients reported in Vietnam

Director of Tumor Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City Dr. Pham Xuan Dung said at a seminar that more young Vietnamese people have cancer in comparison to in the world.
 
More young cancer patients reported in Vietnam
The Tumor Hospital, the City Cancer Association and the Vietnam Cancer Association yesterday held a seminar on prevention of cancer.
The seminar attracted over 1,000 local and international experts with 127 scientific reports on the disease to share experience and introduce some treatment methodologies.
As per reports, the group of people 40 up suffering from cancer is more popular than their older counterparts at the age of 60.
Annually, the number of hospitalized cancer patients in the Tumor Hospital increases by 10 percent.
Cancer cases of lung, liver, colorectal and stomach are popular amongst male while cases of breast, cervical, colorectal, lung are most amongst female.
Additionally, diabetes, obesity, infection, smoking, drinking, unhealthy lifestyle are also factors of increased young cancer patients.
Highly praising the seminar in updating cancer development and cancer prevention task for over 20 years, head of the Ministry of Health's Medical Examination and Treatment Department Luong Ngoc Khue said that the seminar attracted cancer experts’ heed and people can share experience aiming to reduce death and fresh cases as well as improve patients’ quality of life.
Besides, reports have contributed to update new advances in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and take care of patients.
