Hospital in Quang Ngai receives medical equipment

This is an activity to assist medical clinics in communes to improve healthcare capability and can provide emergency treatment as well as basic medical services for kids and adults.

The medical equipment handing is a part of aid package worth a total of US$50,000 (or equivalent to VND1.1 billion) which Exxon Mobil handed over to the emergency pediatric program through VinaCapital Foundation.

The program will provide training to medical workers on pediatric emergency care and medical equipment to 101 medical clinics in communes in coastal districts of the central provinces of Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.

For past five years, Exxon Mobil and Vina Capital Foundation have supplied training courses on pediatric emergency care for 294 medical workers in hospitals in central city of Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Quang Nam; 58 pediatric emergency care carts to big hospitals in these provinces and other medical instruments to hospitals.

From 2011, ExxonMobil supported US$400,000 (over VNĐ billion) to pediatric emergency program through VinaCApital Foundation. Additionally, ExxonMobil sponsored US$125,000 (or VND2.8 billion) for surgeries of child suffering from cleft lip or cleft palate through Operation Smile Vietnam, a not-for-profit, volunteer medical services organization that provides reconstructive facial surgery to indigent children and young adults in Vietnam.
