Hospital in district 2 expanded to meet increasing demand

Ho Chi Minh City authority broke the ground to expand the hospital in District 2 yesterday in the area of 15,000meter square.

The expanded hospital will have additional 110 beds, basement, six floors and waste treatment system costing VND170 billion (US$7.6 million).

At present, the hospital have 450 beds. Averagely the hospital admits 2,000 in and outpatients and it tends to have receive more patients. 

Director of the hospital Dr. Tran Van Khanh said that currently the hospital carry out most treatment techniques even high-tech techniques.  Additionally, it treats cosmetics and herniated disc by laser.

To satisfy increasing demand and improve examination and treatment quality of the new hospital, Dr. Khanh said he has recruited more medical workers and sent nurses and doctor for refresher courses.
