The country has recorded 105,000 infection cases, three time in 2018. Inspectors will pay visits to the central provinces of KHanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, the southern provinces Dong Thap, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, the northern province of Thanh Hoa, and Ho Chi Minh City to check dengue fever prevention task, mosquito and larva kill campaign, destroying mosquito breeding places.
Moreover, role of all –level administrations, unions in monitoring the disease as well as treatment of patients will be inspectors’ tasks.
Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien requested in her dispatch that local government must not let the disease spread. Outbreaks of dengue fever ought to be handled.
Mosquito and larva killing campaign to destroy mosquito breeding places should be organized regularly in the year in crowded places such as markets, schools, bus stations, and hospitals.
Media campaign should be held to raise people’s awareness of the disease and check whether there is water gathering in the tray beneath an air-conditioner and in the drainage system, and remove any stagnant water.
Medical facilities must prepare enough medications and personnel for treating patients.
It is forecast that more dengue fever patients will be reported because of unpredictable weather.
