Hand-foot-mouth cases decrease in HCMC

The Ho Chi Minh City Preventive Medicine Center’s statistic showed that cases of hand-foot-mouth dropped 50-80 each week.

The center keeps track on the development of the ailment recognizing a fall of the ailment in five recent weeks. Hospitalization cases decreased from 552 to 169 in five weeks.
In addition to efforts to reduce infection cases in the community, hospitals in the city performed well in diagnosis and treatment of severe cases. Though many infection cases had been reported in ten months, no death was reported.
Head of the center’s Contagious ward Dr. Le Hong Nga said being a crowded city, HCMC has most cases of infection with over 100 cases a week ;accordingly, she advised people to carry out well personal hygiene to prevent the virus
