Child suspected to have A/H1N1 flu

A six year old girl coming back from the U.S. is suspected of having the A/H1N1 flu and was taken to Ho Chi Minh-based Pediatric Hospital No.2 on May 15.

The girl from Phu My Hung, District 7, will be quarantined until her test results are available on May 16.

The tests of a Vietnamese girl and an overseas Vietnamese, who were isolated on May 14, have tested negative for the A/H1N1 flu virus.

Noi Bai International Airport quarantine center reported that other two Vietnamese coming back from Mexico have tested negative for the A/H1N1 flu virus.

The two passengers were are allowed to continue their journey home, with the provincial Department of Health keeping a close watch on them for seven days.

The passengers have also been asked to reduce contact with people in the community.
