Work begins on Canadian international school in HCMC

Khoi Nguyen Joint Stock Company began construction of a Canadian International School in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City, on December 15.

Expected to open in July next year, it will cost the company around VND500 billion (US$29 million).

The school’s syllabus and foreign staff will be provided by York Region District School Board, one of the biggest public school boards in Canada’s Ontario province, which manages 180 schools.

Its first academic year will begin in September next year.

Khoi Nguyen plans to build a second school in Nha Be district in 2011.
