VND4.6 bil spent on building primary school in Cao Bang Province

A VND4.6 billion (US$205,396) primary school will be built inthe mountainous northern province of Cao Bang under the sponsor of Vietcombank through the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, a part of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

A VND4.6 billion (US$205,396) primary school will be built inthe mountainous northern province of Cao Bang under the sponsor of Vietcombank through the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, a part of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

A primary school Lung Liu will be built in Dan Chu Commune in Hoa An District, which is one of the most disadvantaged district of the province. Primary school Lung Liu includes dilapidated rooms having leaking roofs and cracked walls.

The school is located in the high mountain without electricity, roads, medical clinics, daily water.

Children of three most disadvantaged villages Canh Tao, Lung Liu and Lung La study there; accordingly 11 teachers and 70 students encountered so many difficulties. Most students are Mong ethnic minority group and their houses are 3,4 kilometer far from the school

Building schools and dormitories for teachers and students in disadvantaged districts is one of the major program which the National Fund for Vietnamese Children focuses on. From 2008, the fund has directly and indirectly built 70 construction sites totaling VND30 billion (US$1,339,542)
