Vietnamese students win prizes at 45th Int’l Chemistry Olympiad

Vietnamese students won one gold and three silver medals at the 45th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2013) held in Russia from July 15-24.

Vietnamese students won one gold and three silver medals at the 45th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2013) held in Russia from July 15-24.

Phan Quang Dung, a student from School for Gifted Students at Hanoi National University won the gold medal.

Silver medals went to Le Duc Viet from Tran Phu Gifted High School in Hai Phong; Ho Quang Khai from Nguyen Quoc Anh School for Gifted Students at Hanoi National University.

Earlier, Vietnamese students had also won gold, silver and bronze medals at the 44th International Chemistry Olympiad held in the US in July last year.

In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training on July 24 awarded prizes to students who won four bronze medals at the 25th International Biology Olympiad held in Switzerland from July 14-21.

The medal winners were Nguyen Quang Huy, a 12th grade student from High School for Gifted Students at Hanoi National University; Nguyen Thi Hai Anh from Vinh Phuc Gifted High School; Nguyen Nhat Anh from Hanoi-Amsterdam Gifted High School; and Nguyen Thi Phuong Diep from High School for Gifted Students at the Hanoi University of Education.
