Vietnam has won two bronze medals and three credits at the 12th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) 2011 held in Israel, the Ministry of Training and Education announced on May 11.
Nguyen Huy Hoang and Nguyen Trung Hung, two students from Phan Boi Chau Secondary School in Nghe An Province brought home two bronze medals.
Nguyen Phan Trung Hai from Le Quy Don Secondary School in Da Nang City, Dinh Huy Hong Quan from Vietnam National University of the Ho Chi Minh City High School for the Gifted and Pham Thanh Trung from Hanoi University of Pedagogy Specialized High School received credits.
The 12th APhO was held in Israel from May 1-9 with 120 students participating from 16 territories and countries across the world. Eight students represented Vietnam in this prestigious competition.
