Vietnam students shine at Int’l Mathematics Olympiad

Vietnamese students won  gold, silver and bronze medals at the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in Cape Town, South Africa from July 3-13.

Vietnamese students won  gold, silver and bronze medals at the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in Cape Town, South Africa from July 3-13.

Three gold medals went to Nguyen The Toan from the Gifted High School of the University of Natural Science under the Hanoi-based National University, Tran Hong Quan from Thai Binh Gifted High School in Thai Binh Province and Pham Tuan Huy from the Gifted High School of the  Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City.

Nguyen Huy Tung of Tran Phu High School in Hai Phong took bronze medal.
The national maths was ranked the 10th at the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad 2014.
