Vietnam spends around EUR9.4 mln for vocational training

The Prime Minister has just approved a project named “Vocational training improvement program using German’s ODA (official development assistance)".

The project aims to improve vocational training program based on demand of the society and a stable economy. Total spending for the project is estimated around EUR9.4 million; of which EUR9 million is German’s non-refundable aid and EUR368,402 is Vietnam’s state budget. The project will be carried out by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs from the 2016 to 2018 period.

One of the targets is to raise vocational school teachers’ and managers’ capability as well as to develop vocation training system to meet demand of the country’s stable economy. Moreover, economy growth must go along with green growth strategies as per German’s requirement in fields of mechanics techniques and electronic through education cooperation.

Additionally, the project will also support Lilama 2 vocational school  to develop vocational training following real demand and to raise students’ and parents’ awareness.
