Quang Tri Province student wins Olympia competition

Van Viet Duc of Quang Tri High School in the central province of Quang Tri's Quang Tri town won the championship at the fifteen season of the competition title “Duong len dinh Olympia” (The Road to Olympia Peak) in Hanoi on August 16.

Being the first student entering the final round of the competition, Van Viet Duc was really confident for the final round. With his efforts, he finally won the first prize to capture the prize of US$35,000 with total marks of 250.

Huynh Anh Nhat Truong from Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted Students in the central province of Binh Thuan came the second with 200 marks. Nguyen Cao Ngoc Vu from Kim Son A High School in the northern province of Ninh Binh and Nguyen Huy Hoang from the VNU-HCM High School for the Gifted in Ho Chi Minh City both had the marks of 150 and stood at the third.

The "Road to Olympia Peak” began in 1999 as the country biggest knowledge contest was launched by VTV3 and sponsored by LG Electronics for high schoold students nationwide.
