With his efforts, Cuong triumped over competitors with a highest point of 240, including Le Thanh Tan Nhat from Quang Tri High School of Quang Tri province who ranked the second place with a total point of 120.
Nguyen Huu Quang Nhat from Phan Chau Trinh High School of Da Nang City and Chu Quang Truong from Nguyen Chi Thanh High School of HCM City got the third positions with a total point of 115 and 100, respectively.
Cuong received a US$35,000 scholarship at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.
The final match of the Road to Olympia in season 18 was broadcast live on VTV3 channel on September 2. The live link-up television program was taken place in Quang Ninh province, Da Nang City, Quang Tri province and Ho Chi Minh City.
“The Road to Olympia Peak” began in 1999 as a knowledge contest on TV for high-school students by VTV3.
