Last week, Ms. Huynh Thanh Thao in Thu Duc District partook in a festival organized by Vinschool in District Binh Thanh to find out more about the school she intends to send her four- year old daughter into. She said that public schools refused to let her kid into school because her daughter is too young for first grade.

Another parent said private schools organize the festival  monthly; therefore, parents have chance to participate in the event with relatives or their kids.

Most primary schools introduce about facilities, teachers, curriculum, labs, library, and sport room.

In the middle of May, primary school Nguyen  Trung Ngan in District 8 held a festival named “ My primary school” with participation of many parents in the district.
Managers said that the festival aims to prepare for the enrolment plan in the academic year 2017-2018 offering opportunity for parents and student to visit the school.
At the festival, school representatives also talked about teaching models as per international trend  so that parents can grasp kids’ teaching and learning orientation at school.
Principal of a primary school in District Go Vap said that the Department of Education and Training send its document annually to schools instructing timeline and content of the festival. The document clearly says that the department encourages school to hold the festival.
