Over 4,000 students sit for English Champion contest

Some 4,204 students yesterday took a sit in the second round of English Champion contest in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the first round, students will do at home with online tests. In the second round on March 3 and 4, students from over 1,000 primary schools and junior high schools nationwide took the test in the National University in Hanoi and Hong Bang University in HCMC.
Candidates had to complete tests in computers connecting with internet.
In the second round, students were tested their listening and reading skills at harder level. Of questions, the rate of math and science questions in English is 16/40 for primary students and 16/50 for junior high school students.
The second round is designed as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and some questions in TOEFL, IELTS and Edexcel.
