The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has just issued Decision No. 3626 to announce the new school year of 2016- 2017 for kindergarten, high schools and vocational schools.

Pursuant to the decision, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training Department will instruct schools from kindergarten to higher education levels in the city to start the new academic year on September 5. The plan will be adjusted if the weather condition is bad such as flood, storms, thunderstorm and strong wind.
Accordingly, schools in the city will officially begin the new school year on September 5. The primary, secondary, high school and vocational school will start on August 15.
Pupils and students will be absent from school on Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday from January 23 to February 5.
