National Assembly Chairwoman visits school she fundraises for

Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan yesterday visited Dong Son Primary and Junior High School in Quang Ninh province which she helped raise fund to build.

The chairwoman gave the school-name board to teachers and students. The school was built thanks to her appeal for contribution by auctioning balls and clothes with signs of footballers of the U-23 football team.
The newly-built school has 18 classrooms, 21 other rooms used as accommodation for 36 teachers and 115 students far away.
On the occasion, Ms. Ngan presented 50 scholarships to children of poor and near-poor families in the commune’s most disadvantaged villages as well as gifts to social welfare brackets, poverty –stricken and near-poor households in Dong Son commune.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Doc granted uniforms and warm clothes to students and teachers of Dong Son Primary and Secondary School.
