The Ministry of Education and Training and its department in Hanoi, Pedagogy University in Hanoi yesterday organized a launching ceremony in Amsterdam Senior High School for the gifted in response to the International Biology Olympiad 2016 (IBO 2016) which will be held in the country for the first time.
The Southeast Asian nation will host the 27th IBO 2016 which takes place from July 17 to 24, 2016 in Pedagogy University in Hanoi. It is expected that 70 nations and territories with 1,075 candidates will participate in the competition.
Currently, the Ministry is preparing everything for the competition. The education sector is launching a movement to welcome the competition including making safe products, safe food, improving teaching and learning biology at schools.
The country used to host successfully Asia Physics Olympiad 2014, International Math, Physics and Chemistry Olympiad 2007, 2008 and 2014 respectively.
