The “Australia-Vietnam School Partnership Showcase” was organized in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday by the Department of Education and Training and the Australian Consulate-General with aim at exploring various collaboration opportunities in the education sector.

Deputy Director of Education Department Nguyen Van Hieu said that Australia is one of the most desired destinations for Vietnamese students because of its high quality education.
Apart from that, many high schools in HCMC are adopting Australia curriculum that provides students with future-focused learning approach. With available potential and capability, studies in good environment will help Vietnamese students to become global citizens integrating well.
Being the first event in Vietnam, this showcase also aims to create a platform for Australian and Vietnamese education authorities, school managers and teachers to further explore various collaboration opportunities in the sector improving teaching and learning quality more.
Australian Consul-General Ms. Karen Lanyon said at the event that presently, 27,000 Vietnamese students are studying in Australia ranking the sixth among countries and territories sending their students to Australia.
According to Australian experts who are experienced in developing smart schools, implementation of studying models especially STEM education and building vocational training between the two countries are expected to help Vietnam grow more.
