64 teachers in disadvantaged districts honored

The Ministry of Education and Training, the Communist Youth Union and Thien Long Corporation yesterday held a meeting to honor 64 exemplary teachers who are working in schools in 64 disadvantaged districts of the country.

The Ministry of Education and Training, the Communist Youth Union and Thien Long Corporation yesterday held a meeting to honor 64 exemplary teachers who are working in schools in 64 disadvantaged districts of the country.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Education Minister Nguyen Thi Nghia said that for years, the sector has finished the goal of illiteracy eradication and all children have completed primary schooling. Education quality is improved thanks to the government, the Party and all agencies’ attention and devotion of teaching staffs.

Though 64 teachers have their own difficulties, they all overcome to finish their duty. 

Nguyen Phi Long, chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union said that the union will build a house in Muong Nhe District of the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien. It is scheduled that the construction will start in early 2016.
