174 Vallet scholarships for good students in highlands, south-central coastal provinces

The program “Gap go Viet Nam “ (Meeting Vietnam) gave Vallet scholarships to 174 outstanding students from universities, colleges and high schools in the highlands and south-central coastal provinces of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa on September 1.

Founder Professor Odon Vallet presented the scholarships totally worth VND1.589 billion (roughly US$70,678,719) to the students who excel in studies.

This time, each high school students receive a scholarship of VND8.5 million (US$378) meanwhile college and university students received scholarship of VND14 million (US$622.7).

Among  the students receiving the scholarships this time, 120 high school students are studying in high schools, schools for gifted students and schools for ethnic minority groups, 34 of them are studying in Hermann Gmeiner in Da Lat Town of the highlands province of Lam Dong, Nha Trang and 20 university and college students.

This time scholarship giving is one of a part of the program which planned to give 2,250 scholarships in 2015 with total value of over VND20 billion (US$ 889,600)
