A concert featuring young talents from the Vietnam National Academy of Music will be held at the French Cultural Exchange Center, L'Espace, in Hanoi on August 29.
The artists are contestants of the 2nd International Piano Competition to take place in September.
Started in 2010 by the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the biennial competition has drawn 60 contestants, aged 10-23, from 10 countries around the world to showcase their talents as young classical musicians of their homeland.
The competition has encouraged local artists to showcase their skills. Many young performers who were winners of the first contest continue to win other domestic and international awards.
The competition is one among 10 other cultural events started in 2010 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
