Vietnamese films compete in Busan Int'l Film Festival 2019

Vietnamese films, Thua me con di (Goodbye Mother) and Anh trai yeu quai (Dear Devil Brother) will compete in the “A window of Asia Cinema” category at the Busan International Film Festival 2019 which will take place in the southern South Korean city of Busan on October 3-12.

“A Window of Asian Cinema” is a showcase of brand new and/or representative films by the talented Asian filmmakers with their diverse points of view and style.
Movies include Cha va con va…(Big Father, Small Father and Other Stories) directed by Phan Dang Di; Quyen directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, Tam Cam-The Untold Story and Co Ba Sai Gon (Miss Sai Gon) directed by Ngo Thanh Van also participated in this category in previous years.
Thua me con di (Goodbye Mother) was released on August 16 while Anh trai yeu quai (Dear Devil Brother) will make it debut on November 29.
Started in 1996, the annual Busan International Film Festival is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The event aims to introduce new films and first-time directors, develop and promote young talent, especially those from Asian countries.
