At the launching ceremony, Minister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan said that this was the second time in 11 years that Vietnam was chosen to host APEC events after 19 years as a member of the forum.
Designed by painter To Minh Trang, the stamp symbolises APEC Vietnam 2017 with stylised images of oars and lac birds on Dong Son bronze drum together with 21 sun rays representing the 21 APEC member economies.
Tuan said the stamp will help realise APEC Vietnam 2017’s theme “Creating New Dynamism, Fostering A Shared Future”.
The stamp also helps popularise images of Vietnam as a country with comprehensive integration into global economy. Notable, domain name “.vn” on the stamp will create opportunities for local enterprises.
The stamp includes one sample valued at 3,000 VND.
